Today the tiredness englfed me and the three new storage boxes needed some little things to store inside. The gorgeous man decided to go through tools so i in turn decided to assist, can i really call this my organisation...hmmm not sure but i did help a little x

The chest of leggings and nightwear

At the foot of the bed there sits a wooden chest where i store my leggings and nightwear. It was literally overflowing, i decided that this was my task today. I sorted out the leggings into categories black, lace and other, greys including grey animal print and coloured, pj's and nighties ofcourse were a seperate entity. The lid now closes hooray. Job done for the day x

one more piccy today

Just before bed i thought i would send a little picture of my organisation on the room divider, cant believe i nearly forgot that little beauty! I am thinking of moving this shelving unit into the untility room to free up space and to work as a large larder. Its one of those domino effects as i need a shed for other items to in first, then that can move etc etc its one of those amazing waiting games which send me slightly bonkers. Move A tro B to C to ahhhhhhh x Anyway its back to the sorting tomorrow and im still on track. There is an episode of friends where Monica ( the clean freak ) has a cupboard piled high with rubbish...well that rubbish is in my cupboard that i dare not open the door as yet! Before i started this I thought i was so tidy....eeek x

studio hello, reading snug hello!

Hello there, after a refreshing sleep. I am taking a small task today as i really have worked myself into a delirious stupor last night. I have cleared out the old corner metal shower shelves for a new smaller one so that in turn created a need to sort out old bottles. Job done hooray x I am adding some piccys of the organisation in the new studio area and the beautiful sky.

Such an amazing day of cleaning x

Today was a cleanathon and oranisathon to beat all others. I am sore from all the moving and sorting, my back aches i think slightly dehydrated but for goodness sake it was sooo worth it! I now have a new snug upstairs on the landing that was once the art area before the studio lived. I sorted out the books and gave them a new home in the family room. The wonderful partner helped out lots today the star that he is. The studio is really getting there, Slow but sure. A ton of rubbish has left the house today, bye bye. Just too tired to take photos tonight might add some tomorrow morning depending on bad back and tiredness. What a great day, tiring but great x

Today was the day of change, its a strange day when you know that your little one is growing up. I am reclaiming an adult space after sorting out all the toys, books, puzzles and games. It has made a huge difference in the look and feel of the room after the toys have gone...its the first true adult space for the last three years and it feels amazing. It was a lovely feeling to know that the new munchkin space was ready and awaiting an organise, killing two birds with one stone I decided on what went where and began filling up the space, the trouble with this idea was the fact that i didn't count on a little munchkin taking out everything i put in. After a cold drink i set upon the task again refreshed giving munchkin a fellow task to complete. Result accomplished. I think the space is really lovely and munchkin absolutely adores it. I cant be any happier right now. Now for the studio space next.

boiling point and beyond.

Another boiling hot day today....drp drip drip, after spending some of the day enjoying the garden, i thought it was time to knuckle down and do the task! Hot weather you either Love it but Hate it. I decided that the lovely old drawer unit needed an attack. I watched Wonders of the Universe whilst sorting out the clutter. There are 8 drawers filled with lots of new levels of random! It was a nice easy job today which i really enjoyed, a sitting down task. Through the open windows were the whirl of tractors and the spinning of hay bails, I was sitting with a towel as a barrier to help dry my dreads a little quicker after a good cool wash. I digress back to my daily task of cleaning and organising the lovely drawers, i got on with the job in hand and really enjoyed the finding of items i hadn't seen in a while. I would urge everyone to pick a place tomorrow just a drawer and organise it! Its such a cool feeling when it's done and it seriously makes life a little easier...WELL one drawer at a time. Now tomorrow will be the unit for my little ones toys as my lovely man is at present fixing it together, yippee x Take care and get organising! I decided to add a quick snap of garden exploits and haybales....hope you enjoy x

Red boxes of everything.

I cannot believe i am doing organising in 30 degree heat, but i am motivated to continue achieving. Today is the turn of the wonderful red storage boxes which are actually full to brimming with an array of junk. Wow is all i can say to them! They are super heavy and i had no idea what was lurking inside. After a good rummage i realised that this could spiral into paper sorting which i will do at a later blog...oh and that would mean shopping for some pretty new folders...oh paperchase how i love thee. So i set to work after ofcourse an icelolly, and ended up with a whole bag full of recycling and throw out rubbish, lots of things in better homes and a great sense of happiness. Its amazing to me how much things accumulate quite quickly. Im so over the moon that i achieved what i set out to achieve, now for a cold drink phewwwwwww, Mmmmmm what task to attack tomorrow obviously depending on the weather and the ice lolly supply.

The indescribable brown.

Today has been a rather busy day thus far with a lot of time spent in the kitchen, so a kitchen task was my plan. I ended up cleaning out the small fridge as it was in serious need of some tlc. I really dont enjoy finding something that had dripped onto the floor of the plastic baskets that can only be described as vomity brown. Ewwww. So with vigour i decided to start at the top and work my way down. Good plan as i could pay attention to dates etc along the way. A really great tip for fridges is to use baskets to contain certain food groups, it seems to work for me esp during the list prep for shopping. I scrubbed and cleaned and was happy to see a sparkly fridge once more. I love it when a plan comes together and the task actually didnt take as long as i had first thought which was a happy bonus. I am still on track for my challenge which keeps me smiling. Within the next week or so i will be moving things into the new studio and playroom which will be sooo cool, just cant wait for that joy to happen. From two side rooms attached to the house that were filled with all levels of junk to having workable spaces will just be a real leap forward. I will post pics of that in the future.

Sock it to them!

After a lovely brekkie in bed, i decided to hit the ground running and achieve my organisation task first thing. From the bed i paired socks that had been living a single life in my lovely man's sock draw. They are now partners to the other one which may not seem a huge task but was certainly worthwhile as my man was sporting fetching odd socks to work! Now he can reach in and hey presto a pair of socks, i hadn't remembered leaving his poor socks as singletons buti know i can rectify it quite easily by doing it from the wash instead. Silly me thinking life was too short to pair socks. I am feeling a little better today so may try a second task to help get the house organised. The red cubes of doom filled with every conceivable thing versus the draws of never ending random...oh what fun! Onwards to the breech i go!

The first steps of many.

After careful thought and a cold confining me to the bedroom, the only logical place to start was you guessed it in the bedroom. My wardrobe has metamorphocised into a hanger factory with a sea of fallen items. My shoes had been spotted in every room of the house, why do they end up under the sofa....under the sofa that joy can be kept for another day! I have shoeboxes...with no shoes inside from a previous attempt at organising myself! ( tbh it was a half hearted affair ). So onwards through coughing fits and long periods of fitful sleep i have an organised wardrobe with neatly stacked shoes, colour coded hanging and a great new space for spare makeup and all my nail varnish to live. I have one black bag full of charity items which makes me feel like im helping somebody today! All in all the first day of the challenge has been smiling even through a cold :-) x I wonder what tomorrow will bring! possibly a runny nose but certainly something organised!

Now i have decided to set myself some helpful guidlines so that i stay on track! Nothing in life is easy so i am making realistic guidlines as i do have a tendency to over egg ( replacer ) the pudding! 1. Set small daily tasks. 2. Be realistic. 3. Large jobs can wait till the weekend. 4. Donate to charity regularly ( once a week box ). 5. Downsize items ( books, toys etc). 6. Declutter, Declutter, Declutter oh did i mention declutter. 7. Organise time to achieve set goals. 8. Be ruthless in the cull! 9. If you fail get right back on the horse! 10. Keep the end goal fresh in your mind daily. When i feel myself slipping i will remember that draws are not for stuffing full of crap! I am looking forward to this journey and hope you enjoy the ride. Books are our friends until this small library is reached. This isnt my own books just a random library but you get the jist!

A month is a long time in organisation land

Being a stay at home mum to a wonderful vibrant spirit is the most rewarding thing, but i have a small whirlwind and a wonderful partner who wears blinkers where dust is concerned and gorgeously has an inability to put things back! I love them both dearly but i really need to get some serious organisation in the house. I have decided to set myself a month challenge to basically get organised, when i look around i shriek but i believe i can do this and posting my methods of success and scarier fails will give me the push to do it!!Dont get me wrong though i do work hard already but when i hide the mess in drawers and boxes it just becomes a junkfest. I am really going to try to post everyday which in itself is a challenge.
